i always love taking pictures on easter. everybody looks so nice, and we take them in front of the cross at church, covered in beautiful flowers <3 you can’t always see the cross…haha…but it’s a beautiful idea, anyway.

so for one of my online classes we’re supposed to have a blogger to post our work on, and i got to looking and mine & friends’ blogs from high school…i kinda miss it. i’ve grown apart from so many people since high school, and while i love being in college…and hated high school for the most part…i had some good times back then. i think i would have done a lot differently if i could go back. be more involved, not drop so many friends. aha people were just so dramatic in high school so i tried to stay away…but the friends that i did have, they were great. anyway, it’s just weird thinking about the people i was so close to, and now we never talk. and i mean, that’s a part of life…people move on. it’s a good thing. shoot, one guy i dated in high school is engaged now. it’s just so weird to think about. but all the experiences i gained have really formed who i am today. and trusting God through it all is probably the only thing that has gotten me through it in one piece.
i just miss many of the friends i had back then. it’s like, everybody was so close in high school, and you saw the same people every day so you kinda depended on that. but in college…at community college atleast…of course i have my friends, but it’s so different. my bestfriends have all moved away and of course we talked sometimes, but definitely not as much as we used to. hannah and alyson came home this weekend and it was amazing to have them back, if only for a few days. but at Mission, you don’t really make close connections with people cause everybody is thinking, “go to class, go home”. not, “hang out at mission all day”. eh, i don’t know. it just feels lonely sometimes, even though i’m not alone at all. just a lot of independence that i’m not sure i was exactly ready for. it’s nice, though. especially being single since september…it’s nice not depending on anybody or having to make plans around somebody. just doin’ my own thing on my own time. it’s really nice and i haven’t really been able to experience that for a few years now. it’s just…simple. and i’m planning on enjoying every second of my singleness until i’m no longer…single. haha.
